Students will choose their own subject matter or work from a still life.  New students will learn the basics of oil painting as more experienced painters continue to develop and refine their skills.

Micro to Macro: Changing Scale
Instructor: Susan Maakestad

Saturday
9:00 am - 2:00 pm
March 7th | 1 Session
$125 - materials included | Beginner and up | Ages 15+

A small object that sits in the palm of your hand can morph into something unexpected when it is blown up many times. Drawing from observation, students will closely examine an object, vastly changing its scale on a large sheet of paper. Realism is not necessarily the goal, as the drawing may take on a life of its own. Students should find this drawing process to be a meditative experience as they develop a sensitivity for detail, value and scale. Suitable for all levels.
